Flying Cupcakes

Unidentified Flying Cupcakes!

On Friday night I had a lovely wine and cupcakes night with my friends Alana and Beth. Similar to the soap night, we hung out while each making our own flavor of cupcakes, and then traded cupcakes at the end of the night. Beth made champagne, I made lemon, and Alana made peanut butter. It was really fun! The kitchen had an interesting smell of lemon mixed with peanut butter.

Champagne, Lemon, and Peanut Butter Cupcakes!

Yum! I got my recipe from Martha Stewart and it is a great - great - great lemon cupcake recipe. There is a lot of butter :) and even buttermilk. Anytime you mix lemon with buttermilk the result is always amazing. I totally recommend it!

I'm still working on my Hawthorn blouse, taking my sweet time. I'm really hoping it fits, so far it seems like it might be a little tight. I will be happy if it buttons up  :)

Boxes and Brews

It's that time again in my life, moving time! My dear blog has been sorely neglected the past few weeks while I packed boxes, moved furniture, and cleaned out my old apartment. I'm back! Still surrounded by a million moving boxes, but my sewing machine is back out. Yay! I have finally started sewing my Hawthorn blouse. Hopefully photos will be coming soon.

My fiance moved to Richmond, VA two weeks ago for grad school, so I moved closer to my job. It is wonderful to have a shorter drive :) Josh's boss gave him some amazing beers as a going away gift. One was a real Belgian trappist ale... yum!
